I was in the area because Santiago cafe was recommended, but it was closed. Disappointed I came into Dona Francesinha but left extremely pleased. Good service from the one bartender during the day and an amazing first-experience with the Porto staple sandwich, the Dona Francesinha. So many layers of deliciousness held together by the slices of bread and gooey cheese. The tomato sauce was great with a bit of a kick, and I couldn't stop dipping my fries into it. Great amount of food for the price, too.

Staff was very welcoming and kind. The service was fast and we could enjoy our francesinha in less than 15 mins. Not very crowded and fair prices. Keep it up! As a thing to improve, please buy some portable POS, so we can pay directly from our table.

Great experience overall. However they only except cash so make sure to have cash when visiting. The atmosphere is nice and the food was great as well.

That was so delicious! I've been there twice during my stay in Porto and i will remember this restaurant and will recommend it to my friends. Be ready when you read "sandwich" it's not a classic sandwich as you know in other parts of Europe. It's something different and unique, but i will not reveal the intrigue. Good food and service for good money. It's worth it.

What a nice surprise.The first thing is that the team is super nice!I think these clear their specialty is the Francesinha and that's what you have to ask ;-)What a surprise when I realized that there was a steak yes a whole steak in it! From egg to meat to sauce and toast.everything was well executed.A delight.It's not uncommon for me to share my opinion on google maps but not to the point of really taking the time to make a nice little post ;-)5/5Thank you team

Very tasty Francesinha. The waitress was super friendly and suggested us the best options. One for each is too large, we divided it
